A strong start is half the work as they say and we in 3rd class have certainly hit the ground running. We have been busy learning about addition and problem solving in maths, writing recounts and using proper nouns in English. We have enjoyed learning about the past through interviewing our older family members and sharing our findings with our classmates. It was really good to learn about the diversity of families and cultures that make up our school community. We took a further step back in time to the Stone Age and learned about the mysterious cave art from this era found at various locations around the world such as France and Argentina. We’ve also been learning about how colours and lines are used in various modern art works and we have produced our own masterpieces in response to the work of some famous painters from around the world.
