    There are a number of Geography, History, Science and Art activities uploaded on Aladdin and sent through email.  These must also be completed. You can print them if you need to or work directly into the green copy.

     There are also supplementary English, Irish and Maths activities here too.



    • Project:



    SESE Project

    Below is an outline of a project you can carry out. It is set out by days. This project is based on a country of your choice.

    It can be presented in a format of your choice also.

    Day 1: Introduction
    Choose the country you want to study. Find out the capital of the country. Is there a major language spoken in this country? In what continent is this country located?

    Day 2: History

    In this section you should include;

    What date did the country come into existence?
    How this country actually became a country (major events leading to the formation of the country). Famous people/kings/rulesr/presidents in this country

    Day 3: Geography

    Major landforms, bodies of water (rivers, lakes), major cities

    Day 4: Culture

    Clothing, Religion, Food, National holidays

    Day 5: Climate

    General weather conditions (e.g. yearly temperature, yearly rainfall)
    The affects that the weather has on this country (e.g. what food can be grown because of the climate? Housing conditions? Etc.)

    Day 6: Interesting Facts

    Examples might include:

    Population, Story behind the flag, Travel tips, Native animals, Strange laws

    Day 7: Design    Draw and colour the country’s flag
    Draw/print any other interesting pictures you came across while carrying out your research.
    Day 8: Put all information/pictures together in the format of your choice.
