Parent’s Council

The Parents Council provide the structure through which parents can work together for the best possible education for their children in our school. They work with the Principal, Staff and Board of Management to build effective partnerships between home and school, encouraging a programme of activities which will promote the involvement of parents in the operation of the school.

Here at Kildare Town Educate Together National School, we are very lucky to have such fantastic, committed and involved Parents Council. Their numerous achievements over the past few years include:

  • Fundraising that led to the purchase of over EUR2,000 worth of new literacy books and a new sound system for our hall;
  • Community spirit events such as a family picnic quiz, parents quiz night and an 80s disco;
  • Helping with supervising, organizing resources and adjudicating during our Sports Days; and
  • Organizing entertainment, food and face-painting for our Back to School Barbecues and Summers Sports Day events.

Parents Council Committee:

Paula Carroll (Chairperson); Jocelyn Cornally (Secretary); Roseanne Fitzgerald (Treasurer); Anne Bolger; David Murphy; Dean Stout; Ruth Farrell; Sinead Atkins; Tracey Bailey.

Every parent/guardian is automatically a member of the Parents Council.
